Product Information
Odyssea Ocean Elements
Odyssea Reef Supplement – 2-Part pH Boost Dosing Solution
- Part 1: 2ml will increase the alkalinity of 100 Liters of aquarium water by ~0.1 dKH.
- Part 2: 2ml will increase the calcium by ~0.74 ppm and magnesium by ~0.16 ppm per 100 Liters of aquarium water.
Directions for Use:
- Test First: Before dosing, use a reliable and accurate alkalinity test kit to determine current levels. Retest after 24 hours to track daily alkalinity consumption.
- Dose Evenly: Use our calculator to determine the correct daily dosage. Dose equal amounts of Part 1 and Part 2 into a high-flow area of the sump.
- Monitor Regularly: Regularly test alkalinity and adjust dosing as needed. The increased pH provided by this product can enhance coral growth, leading to higher consumption of elements. Consistent testing is essential, especially in the initial months.
Product Overview:
Odyssea Reef Ocean Elements provides a comprehensive solution for maintaining alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and essential trace elements. Manufactured with high-purity materials, this formula is designed to replenish major, minor, and trace elements consumed during coral growth. It’s particularly effective in systems with minimal water changes.
For systems with limited or no water changes, regular ICP testing is recommended to ensure essential elements are not depleted, as this could negatively affect coral health and growth.
The formula’s strength also protects dosing lines and equipment from degradation due to exposure to hydroxide, preventing incomplete mixing when dosed into low-flow sump areas.
- Part 1: Hydroxide-based alkalinity solution, providing a significant pH boost equivalent to Kalkwasser (per dKH) but without dosing restrictions or the need for large containers.
- Part 2: Contains calcium, magnesium, and trace elements that are ionically balanced for 1:1 dosing with Part 1.
Both parts of Ocean Elements can be diluted equally with 0 TDS RODI water for smaller dosing quantities.
Tips for Optimal Use:
- If white deposits appear in the dosing area, increase water flow or dose into a higher-flow region. You can also dilute the product with 0 TDS RODI water to ensure full dissolution.
- We recommend maintaining alkalinity between 8 and 9 dKH for most systems.
- Offset dosing times of Part 1 and Part 2 to prevent precipitation from the two solutions mixing before they fully dissolve.
- For maximum system stability, split the dosing into as many small additions as possible.
