Product Information
Odyssea Reef Nutrient Solution Phosphate++
1ml of Phosphate++ will increase P04 level of 100ltr of aquarium water by ~0.01ppm.
Directions for Use:
- Before any addition we recommend using reliable and accurate Phosphate test kit to determine current levels.
- Once Phosphate levels are tested, we recommend increasing P04 by only 0.01-0.02ppm per day by dosing the required amount and waiting 24 hours to repeating until the target values/daily consumption are reached.
Phosphate++ is a natural source of P04 made from food-grade (>98%) materials that can be dosed into the aquarium in a controlled manner to achieve target phosphate levels. We recommend using Phosphate++ to maintain levels above 0.03ppm.
Why is phosphate important?
Phosphate is an essential food source for the zooxanthellae found in the surface tissues of coral polyps. In exchange for a protected environment, these zooxanthellae provide the coral with the nutrients they need to survive and grow. Proper levels of phosphate (P04) may also help improve coral health, enhance colors, and prevent bleaching. Insufficient nutrients can lead to problems like Cyanobacteria outbreaks.
P04 levels below 0.03ppm should be avoided, while levels up to 0.08ppm are idea for the average reef aquarium. However, levels above 0.1ppm are not advised.
As modern filtration systems and technologies have become more efficient, insufficient nutrients within aquariums are becoming more common. When a reef tank is nutrient deficient, biological filtration does not occur efficiently, and nutrients such as nitrate can become unbalanced and potentially turn into pollutants unless other forms of filtration are used. To avoid this, phosphate needs to be maintained above zero. Phosphate++ is used to increase P04 levels, supporting the population of microorganisms and bacteria, and improving biological filtration by allowing the consumption of carbon and nitrate. This bacterium can then be consumed by corals and other organisms within the aquarium as a food source or removed via a skimmer.
Odyssea Phosphate++
Odyssea Nitrate++
Odyssea Reef Nutrient Solution Nitrate++
10ml of Nitrate++ will increase NO3 levels of 100l of aquarium water by ~1ppm.
Directions for Use:
- Before any addition we recommend using reliable and accurate Nitrate test kit to determine current levels.
- Once nitrate levels are tested, we recommend increasing P04 by only 1-2ppm per day by dosing the required amount and waiting 24 hours to repeating until the target values/daily consumption are reached.
Odyssea Reef Nitrate++ is a benificial source of NO3 manufactured using >99% purity materials designed to be dosed to the aquarium in a controlled manner to achieve Target Nitrate levels. We recommend using Nitrate++ to maintain levels avove 5 ppm.
Why is Nitrate important?
Nitrate (N03) is an essential food source for the zooxanthellae found in the surface tissues of coral polyps. In exchange for a protected environment, these zooxanthellae provide the coral with nutrients they need to survive and grow. Proper levels of nitrate may also help improve coral health, colours and prevent bleaching. Nutrition levels of Zero can also be a source of nuisance problems like Cyanobacteria outbreaks.
N03 levels below 3ppm should be avoided, levels up to 10ppm are fine for the average reef aquarium, levels above 25ppm are not advised.
As modern filtration systems and technologies have become more efficient, insufficient nutrients within aquariums are becoming more common. When a reef tank is nutrient deficient, the biological filtration is not occurring efficiently and nutrients such as phosphate are likely to become unbalanced and may even become pollutants unless other forms of filtration are used to control them; to avoid this Nitrate needs to be maintained above zero. Nitrate++ is used to increase levels of N03; supporting the population of microorganisms and bacteria, improving biological filtration by allowing the consumption of carbon and phosphate. This bacterium can then be consumed by corals and other organisms in our aquariums as a food source or removed via a skimmer.
Caution! Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for human consumption.
Odyssea Reef Storm
Odyssea Reef Water Clarity Treatment Reef Storm
Add 8ml of Reef Storm per 100 ltr of aquarium water 2-3x per week
Directions for Use:
Shake extremely well before use.
- For best results, dose after lights out.
- Dose into a high flow area of the display tank, such as a powerhead or return nozzle.
- Allow 5 to 10 minutes before resuming mechanical filtration.
Note: The use of Reef Storm will turn the aquarium water milky/white; this is normal. Expect crystal clear water by the following morning.
Reef Storm is a premium product manufactured from >98% purity materials designed to be dosed to the aquarium in a controlled manner primarily to enhance Water Clarity, Reef Storm helps to bind fine particles and other organic matter within the water column, which can then be removed by the aquarium’s filtration system, leading to crystal clear water.
Additional Benifits:
- Nutrient Reduction: Helps to reduce the levels of nitrates and phosphates in the water column by binding to dissolved nutrients, which can then be removed by mechanical filtration.
pH Stabilization: Helps buffer the water, maintaining a stable pH level, promoting coral growth rates.
Reduction of Toxins: Aids in the removal of harmful substances and toxins, reducing the effects of “coral warfare”.
- Reduction of pests: Adding coral food to the aquarium before dosing Reef Storm can trigger feeding responses from nuisance filter feeders such as vermatid snails; leading to population decline if this approach is used regularly.
Using Odyssea Reef Storm as part of a regular maintenance routine can contribute to a healthier, more stable, and visually appealing reef aquarium.
